how to change air filter/ doing a tune up

hey guys i have a 89 cbr 600 and want to see if it needs a new air filter.im kinda new to motorcycles and dont really know much about them yet..does anyone know how i can get to the air filter to see if its dirty?

remove the tank bolts, prop the tank up and the air box is the black box right under your tank. there should be 8 or 10 screws holding it on
