im out of ideas.....
ok, ive had an fi light issue since i purchased the 02 f4i back in january with 14k miles on it. periodically it comes on from time to time, usually on the first start of the day, or whne its really cold. and after warming up, if i shut it off, and turn it back on it usually goes away.....well not so much anymore. about 4 weeks ago i laid her down while pulling away from a stop sign making a sharp right turn, too much throttle on a tire that was not meant to lean that far and it came out from under me. i had a hard time getting it to start thereafter, i had to crack the throttle to get it to start, but after revving it a little bit and riding it, it seemed to go back to normal. now im having idle issues. from time to time it bogs down to 500 rpms and just hesitates. its always ran rich due to the yoshi and k&n with no programmer (im working on getting one, just gotta finish paying off uncle same first) but the idle issue is getting on my nerves. from time to time it even bogs then shuts off, and once again i have to crack the throttle to start it. i have a spare set of plugs from where i changed it, but they need to be put back to gap specs ( does anyone know the gap) so should i put them back in or not? btw the light codes im getting are 1, 2, and 9. which from what im told are IAT sensor and MAP sensor. i took the gas tank off and disconnect both of them and sprayed them with contact cleaner, which helped for a day or to, but not anymore. o yeah the automatic choke doesnt seem to work anymore either. it just stays at 1500 for a moment, then the fi light comes on and it goes up to about 2k-2500 and works its way back down while the light stays on.
any ideas???? cuz im running out quickly. i really really appreciate the help in advance.

ok so heres an update to what ive done to try to fix the problem. yesterday i pulled out the plugs and checked all of them, they turned out ok. i cleaned the iat sensor and map sensor with contact cleaner, and then put di electric grease it them to help the connection. then i took the battery out for 10 minutes to clear the ecu. i put the bike back together, crank it, and once again is idles at 1500 for about 15 seconds, then the fi light came on and the idle went up to 2000 and slowly worked its way back down, but never went away. so i shut it off and cranked it again, and no fi light. this morning i crank the bike and it goes up to 3500 and works its way back down with no fi light. i come home hang around for a while, crank it again and it starts at 1500 for a moment and then the fi light comes on and it goes back up to 2k. sooo....im completely stumped. i thought the automatic choke was broke, but it worked this morning. the only conclusion is that one of the 2 sensors, if not both, are bad. but i do not know how to check them. what is the volt reading supposed to be for normal operation?
download the manual from www.stephygee.com
most likely not your IAT.
i had a similar problem and it was my MAP sensor...i beat the **** out of it then pulled it apart, cleaned it and it went away.
you can ride with it on, but your bike goes into limp mode.
