Default IDLE CABLE... RPMS ARE STUCK

After turning my RPMs up to practice slow wheelies, my cable snapped. So now I am stuck at 3,500RPMscausing the damn bike to overheat within five traffic lights.
Can someone PLEASE tell me how to turn my RPMs back down(1,500) without using the cable(snapped off completely).

Your going to have to adjust the idle at the source (where cable attaches) which is just as big a pain in the **** as replacing the cable!
