Angry I need help asap...my bike was dropped

i have a 2000 honda cbr 600f4. I let a friend use my bike and well he layed it down on the left side, he wasnt going that fast so a lot of the issues are cosmetic... the slide bar did its job. i know i need a new mirror, faring and slide bar...however i am not that familar with bikes compared to cars... what is the round cover on the left called? is it the clutch cover or crank case cover? its all scratched and its cracked and leaking. i need to replace it.. what is it called, where is a good place to get one pretty cheap, and what exacly is it leaking? oil ? can you please help me i wanna get it on the road asap.. and is there anything else i should be looking ?

That's the stator cover. Basically the motorcycle equivalent of an alternator. And yes, if it's leaking it's leaking oil. Cheapest place to get one will be eBay

You're not talking huge money for that cover. You're looking at $55 for the cover and $6 for the gasket. That's brand new. It's your friends responsibility to pay for it. I guess it's time to find out just what kind of friend (s)he really is. In the parts manual it will be called the Alternator Cover.

HELLO !! I included a link to the parts manual so you can see for yourself. Just click on the words Alternator Cover in the previous post.

your bike is no different then letting your friends ride a snowmobile, dirt bike or ATV. You crash it you fix it. I let a friend ride my 1st bike and she dumped it. If I do let them ride it I make sure they know up front they break they fix it and after you say that they change there mind most of the time about taking it for a spin.
