Default I知 not a fan of this!

I got my RRV a few days ago, stuck in traffic the fan came on and clattered a fair bit, maybe a broken blade and out of balance I thought, I had a look later and had to smile, the fan was sitting in the bottom of its cage and there was no nut on the end of it痴 drive shaft, not much cooling going on there then.
this afternoon I値l take it off and hopefully it値l just be a case of refitting the fan with a new nut/washer (loctited), if not I致e got a fan from my old CBR1000F that I might be able to swap into the Fireblades support cage, anyway access is tight in there but I知 hoping to get away with as little fairing removal as possible, anyone accessed their fan recently?, how little disassembly did you get away with?, thanks Mark.
PS here痴 the bike, link is easier than adding a photo!

Well that was easy!, just remove the LH middle panel, 2 bolts hold the fan cage on that side, then you can reach the 3rd bolt through the RH panel without having to remove that panel, I put a new washer and nut on the fan (with loctite thread lock) cleaned up the earth, job done, funny how sometimes awkward looking jobs aren稚 so bad!

Not as much as the diagnosis of the top end ticking sound that Racing lines just diagnosed as a slight leak on No3 header!
I was thinking it was a tappet (shim) needed, although I had gone around the headers with a pipe to my ear and it did seem to be coming from the No3 header area, it痴 just nice to have an expert such as Rob confirm that it痴 nothing needing much in the way of attention, phew! 🙂
right now to fit the led relay that arrived this morning, 300bpm is a little fast for the indicators!.
