Default cooling fan

So the other day i noticed the bike was running warmer/hotter then normal. I put my hand down near the fan and it wasnt on. Made it home and spun the fan manually with my hand and it came on. A couple seconds later I heard a rattle and apparently the fan came off the hub. My guess is to by a new fan. Do I need to stay with the 05 f4i fan or can I buy one that is for a diff model of honda?

i'd just get one that is a direct fit, easier and cleaner. the one that fits the 05 may fit other years as well. if you are going new, i think that the fan parts come separately. after you get it apart, you may find that you only need one part.

only one that wont work is a fan from an F4. it mounts the same and has the same harness but the two wires are switched in the fan side of the harness. you could just swap them if you found one for cheap though.

I got an F4i fan for sale, among other pieces if you need a good one.
