They don't make the hex design for an '04 600RR. So how would you modify an '06 600RR Akrapovic slip on to work with an '04 bike?

 

weld an angled extension pipe to the 2:1 connector and relocate the hanger.

 

would there be any issues with the bike besides it not fitting right and having to weld an extension pipe and change the hanger? It's just me being a newbie but when they make different slip ons for different years is the only differece the way it fits onto the bike?
