Default 01 F4i Akrapovic slip on....???

Hey guys I just purchased a Akrapovic carbon fibre slip on, I have not put it on as yet.

Have you guys noticed any difference other than sound increase with exhausts?

Do I need to get it re tuned when I fit the slip on?

I sure hope it sounds good, there not cheap. I went with it cause apparently there a really
good system, and there not as common as the Yoshi my 2nd choice.

What you guys think did I get the right one????

I really like my akra Ti slip on. they do sound great. not a ton of difference as far as butt dyno, but you can feel a little bit. a powercommander retune is suggested, by not absolutely neccessary

I dont quite understand how the power commander works, do you buy it programmed or do I have to download mapping for it??

Is it something that should be setup on a dyno?

Are they easy to install? I have seen them on ebay for around 200-300

Is there a easy way to see what filter I have in it, I got it serviced 2 week ago

and forgot to ask. I only just bought it around 2months ago. I want to put

a k&n in it but my gutt tells me it would be done as its previous owner had the

suspension done surely a k&n would be in it. I want to check maybe it isnt.

And have you guys removed the air duct resonator? I think mine either doesnt have

it or has been removed, when you look threw the front ram pods it has no obstructions

you can see all the way til where it goes near the tank. Can you usually see them where

there not removed or am I not looking where I should be??

Thanks guys, I am all new to this but so bloody keen to do her up.

you have to lift the tank to get to the air filter....no strong reason to go with a KN filter. there do not do make a ton of difference like in a car. I actually prefer the stock fiter

I have no idea what you mean by intake resonator?

the power commander has to ber programmed, installing is easy, you can just download a free map if all your doing is a slip on

The intake resonator is what honda fitted in the air duct somewhere to reduce induction noise,
I read somewhere that it does make a little difference when you take it out. I am just not sure
as to where it is exactly. Its is apparently a little plastic thing that sits in each side of ram air
duct and just shuts the air intake noise and reduces the air flow apparently.
