Default Akrapovic Slip-on

Anybody have experience with Akrapovic slip-ons?

I've read good things about them and I'm thinking of getting a carbon fiber slip on for my '05 F4i.
I don't want anything too loud, just a nice tone. A bit more power would be nice, but not essential.

What's the installation like, and are any modifications necessary, or does it just go right on?

Does it require a "power commander"? Akarapovic says no, but I've heard that with the bikes being set up so lean from the factory combined with my being at sea level, there's a risk that with the less restrictive exhaust the bike will be leaner still - exceeding the limits of the factory fuel injection program and damaging the piston/cylinder.

well its a piece of cake but you will need a o2 sensor bypass switch ($19) from 58cycle if your in cali. sounds great, I also have pcm III for mapping but its not required from akrapovic to have one as the stock map works well with it! nice deep yet smooth shound to it.

yo...depending on the year...if you can get a midpipe with a bung on there, you just need to tap it and use the O2 sensor...

or you can drill hole and weld a nut on there...

if you can't do either, then O2 sensor, but the sensor sucks for gas mileage.

I live in Vancouver, Canada.
No oxygen sensor necessary.
