Default how to drain coolant reservoir?

Hi, I have a '98 F3 and am trying to flush the cooling system.

I think the design of the system is similar among the F2, F3 and F4, so I'm posting here rather than in the f3 forum.

I've drained the radiator but cannot figure out how to drain the coolant reservoir.

I have a shop manual. It says to disconnect the siphon hose.

I've identified the hose, but have two problems:

1. If I disconnect it at the top (radiator) end (as directed by the F4i manual), the end of the hose is higher than the bottle, so I can't drain the bottle. If I try to "unroute" the hose I'm afraid I'll never get it routed again.

2. I cannot reach the bottom of the siphon hose (as directed by the F3 manual). The connection is back behind the swingarm/chain and below the bottle and shock, and has a pinch clamp attached. I can barely reach this end of the hose, much less disconnect/reconnect it.

Suggestions? I'm considering a turkey baster or a siphon at this point to drain the bottle from the top!
