How did you learn to ride?
tell you the truth i just hopped on. I bought my 600f4i with never riding on any bike at all. The only experience i had was when my parents bought my minibike i guess. I know how to drive stick, so i knoew how to let go of the clutch, give gas n shift. The only thing that i coudln't do that well was lean. I could turn, but couldn't really lean. I guess its from my driving like a maniac on my bicycle back in the days. I used to scrape my bicycle pegs..-= ) But the i took the MSF course n was turning right after i finished the test.
Main reason why i took the MSF course was because i had no plates. i had no plates cause my bike wasn't registered. it wasn't registered because i had no insurnace. But i couldn't get insurance without having a license. n i couldn't get a license because i couldn't ride the bike without plates. The only way to get insurance is by having a license...see my dilemna??? so i just took the course which gave me my license n everything else i needed. I guess you can teach her how to lean by using a bicycle. n if she's afraid to do that, then she won't be able to go it on a motorcycle. But def take the MSF course, i learned a WHOLE lot n was very happy that i did take the course. if i didn't, I'd prob be one of those statistics who won't be here right now because of dumb things i didn't avoid.

MSF Basic Riders Course in November '05 (Never even been on a MC before) then MSF ERC Course a couple of weeks ago. 1st track day coming up in March.
5,000 miles clocked so far! I'm hooked.

Grew up riding ATV's, quads, and sleds. Pretty much hopped on a streetbike for this first time the day I bought it. I drove it 2 miles down the road to gas it up. Then I drove it straight 75 miles back to my home with my buddy following me in my truck! If you have spent some time on a bicycle in your days, it is just like a bicycle with an engine. Everything else is similiar!
I took a safety course. Absolutely the best money I've ever spent!!! Before I took that course, I hadn't even stood a bike up off it's kickstand. Considering how much I learned in that one week, I can't wait to take more training and see how far I can go.
