Have you the diagnostic feature on that model?

I'd all sorts of issues, misfiring, cutting out etc etc and including false sensor faults IAT & CPG (although I did pull and clean each sensor as well as a few green spade connectors) it's finally turned out to be the friggin battery, even though it was within all accepted ranges on the multi meter!!! New battery and all is well again.

Must have been a dying cell.

Did you check if plugs are fully screwed in? My 954 had one which wasn't even finger tight, when I replaced them

Unsure if it affected performance under full load though, as I'd only just bought it and was getting used to/trusting it and not hammering the **** out of it.
My F4i used to have an issue where one of the plug wires would pop off. Always the same plug.
