Default High temp flickering sound

when i'm riding around town, and the bike temp gets above 150, i start to hear a flickering sound as i accelerate. I can't simulate it well when stopped, only when moving. I just got my CCT replaced because that was giving me issues, so i dont think/hope that its not a cam chain problem. My mechanic says the only way to diagnose is to throw it on the dyno and see what happpens, but i can only get it done for free at certain times.

Anyone have any idea what is going on? It doesn't seem to be effecting my performance but it sounds very odd.
