Default High Idle

Hello eveyone!
I have a 99 CBR600 F4, and I love the bike.
I just got it a couple of weeks ago, and noticed at a warm idle, its around 2-2.5K The manual idle screw is completely backed off and I have good gas flow, from what I can tell.
The choke lever is opened as well.
Any ideas would be helpful!

Thanks!!

Once the motor is warm, the choke should be shut off completely. If it is closed and your idle speed is still too high, then it might be that the cables are sticking, either because they need lubricating or because there is no free play in them. You need some free play at the grip so the cable isn't too tight. Adjust the cable adjuster at the throttle to get some slack in it then turn the idle screw until it just starts to increase the idle speed. Check again for slack at the cable. Around 3-5mm is ok. Finally adjust idle screw until idle is around 1300rpm.

Hey all.
Just an update, I found the choke cable loose, at the grip. It was also binding where the tank mounts to the frame, up top.
I still need to order a new one, but its alot better!
Thanks again!
