Default hesitation

ok, so on cool days when i go to ride my bike, it idles and runs good, the response is quick and the bike runs great. however, when i go home for lunch and its warmer outside, after riding for about 10 mins, the bike starts to hesitate on the throttle. it kind of sputters then grabs, but i can tell there is still hesitation in the acceleration. now, the bike does run a little warm, it does not overheat, but runs hot. could this be a heat issue, or something else, cause i am clueless to what else it could be. i was thinking about changing the thermostat. any help?

Which bike?
F4i are known to run hot around 200 in the street and 180 on freeway
have you changed your oil recently? which octane fuel do you use?
put some Chevron Fuel Injector cleaner (not the whole bottle)

if it sputters sounds more like you need your valve check... what's the mileage?

With all my issues on my carb'd bike, it was my carbs. Clean, maybe adjust?

carbs were recently cleaned, but dont know if they are adusted right cause the mechanics lick my ******. i read somewhere stuttering could be from un-synced carbs, which could be a possibility cause i have not touched that, and i dont trust the guys who cleaned them. they are clean cause i have had them off, but i dont know if they are adjusted correctly. oil was changed about 1000 miles ago, the bike has 38,000 miles, running 87 octane. not sure the exact temp as my gauges are analog, but it will get about 80% of the way up the gauge and thats it. sometimes it bounces so i cant tell.

it almost sputters, it acts like if i was trying to ride in 4th gear when i should be in 2nd, but thats not it i promise. just real stuttery and hesitant.
