Sounds like fuel pump. Do you have one? If so, you'll have to check to make sure it works.

Take a deep breath. You have a Honda. There's like 15, maybe even more things that could be wrong that might not even cost anything to fix.

Is it only hesitating around a certain rpm range?

Mine is doing the same. The fuel pump was the very first thing I thought of as well. Gonna give it a check tomorrow.

A few of us posted a thread about this a day or two ago that we are also having these issues. Supposedly a Fuel Pump on this bike shouldn't cause that problem.

Well it does.. I rode mine w/o one when I bought it and it struggled on hard accel and higher rpm's. The gravity feed is not enough for fast accel.. I just got a pump the other day and now when I twist the throttle, it's instant response all the way up the rpm's

Nobody in that thread posted they had actually tested the pump though. Both the pump and inline filter could cause this according to the Hayne's manual I have.

Since I know I have an electrical issue, anything powered is suspect since I just cleaned the carbs.

The 2 major weak points of honda's: fuel pumps and rectifiers.

Okay, didn't solve the hesitation. It's a little better tho. A harley guy that lives down the block stopped by. He said the bike is running too rich. That you can smell it in the exhaust. He recommended adjusting the jets to lean it out some.
