Headlight problems and more...
Ok, i was going down the road and i noticed my lights died. I usually ride with high beams on so i noticed when the blue light went off. Ok, so i pull over turn the bike off.
Checked all fuze's, all good. Replaced the main anyways and the headlight fuze anyways. Hmmm. All wiring harness's are tight. Still no lights, **** it ill deal with it when i get home.
I turn the key to on, put the kickstand up and as i put the kickstand up the bike starts on its own !?!? WTF. This has never happened, so these 2 problems must be related. Not sure what to do. As long as the bike's in nuetral it starts on its own with the key in. Like if it's in gear while the bike is turned off and i move the gear into nuetral the bike magically starts on its own.
I have a short somewhere i think ? Not sure what else could be doing this.... I know i didn't burn all my headlights at the exact same time, not to mention this other bike starting on it's own problem.

simple your bike is possesed
haha anyways that is really strange but did you lights shut off or just the H-beam indicator light. because you said
that makes it sound like the light didnt go out just the indicator light .

both, lights and indicator. I've been out fiddling with the bike since, and this is my observation.
Key, turn it to on and bike automatically starts if it's in nuetral. Now, once it's running that stator is also running full time, but no lights, no blow fuze's. Turn signals work, brake lights work, headlights and indicator dead. Good thing i have a car, not trying to wear out the stator... but something is definately not right, and it happened just driving down the road...
No shops open till monday around here. boo !
possesed is correct.

I'd start looking at the wiring harnesses. Might be one in there that carries a starter signal and the headlight signal, that is now rubbed through on something.
so pissed i took my bike to the dealership for new sprockets and chain because i don't know how to link a chain, and the day after they get their hands on my bike it's borked. GRRR. Not blaming them, but it is a little coincidental.
It was really quite outside today, and when i turn the key on at that exact moment a little pop sound comes from the fuze area, like 2 wires making electical contact. I never heard it before, but don't know the cause. The wires appear to be good and nothing touching or worn through anywhere.I took off all the fairings and checked/traced all the wires running the lenght of the bike. I can't see anything causing a short.
The only thing that could cause my problem is something in the electical though, so i don't get it.. i have to be missing something. That pop sound that happens in the fuze area when i turn the key has me curious. It all looks the way it should though.
Not looking forward to taking it back to the dealer.
