Well just tonight i was riding home, and my headlights went out for about 2 seconds, and i pretty much pee'd my pants. Ive noticed that my lights sometimes dont turn on after startups, because the blue brights light doesnt come on and I've remedied it by tapping the horn. This time it scared the crap out of me because it was while riding on a highway at 55, and its never happened at while riding before. This time i tapped the horn and they came back on as usual. What could be causing this problem?

 

To someone like me, with limited experience and whatnot/knowhow an all that stuff, Im going to guess you have a loose wire somewhere? or maybe a wire is trying to shed its cover and crossing/grounding out? It def. sounds like a wire kinda thing though if it works sometimes but out of the blue it doesnt... just my 2 cents

 

i agree with blindloki: you either got a wire loose/groundibng or it could be something with your fuse box........

 

Rawr, electrical problems suck, could it be a loose wire from the turn signals causing this?

 

i have a similar problem with my bike.. i was riding at night when mine shut off.. today im gonna take out the fuses and check the fuse box and go through all the wiring.. if i find anything out ill let ya know..
