Default General Maint

Just bought a 96 CBR600 F3. Don't know the history and ready to put it on the road. It has 19000 miles. Changed the oil, filter and plugs. What other maint should I do, or what can I expect to go wrong driving about 70 miles a day round trip?

change the brake fluids, lube/adjust the chain, flush the coolant, check tire pressure and condition (look at the date codes [replace if older than 6 years] tread depth and sidewall/stem for cracks) set the suspension for your weight and riding style, light bulbs, and check the torque on every bolt you can get to. a good, deep cleaning will reveal quite a bit of corners that were cut by the PO as well as missing or loose bolts.

good luck and enjoy your new ride!
