Default Gas tank not venting

I had a quick question. On a 1996 CBR 600F3, where does the gas tank vent? After riding the bike for a period of time it dies, it is also hard to start. Everytime you open the gas cap, it sucks in air. Does the tank vent through the cap or does it vent through one of the two hoses that hook up under the tank.

One of the two hoses at the back of the tank is for if you overfill your tank and you collect gas in the ring area around the cap it can drain to the ground. The other hose is to vent the gas tank and they both end up right about where your kick stand is mounted to the bike, right in that general area. I do not remember which hose is for what at the moment, but i can get back with you tomorrow or so and let you know which is which.

Another thing to check is the gas cap itself. There's only one, maybe two tiny holes in the bottom of the cap that vents to atmosphere. If those holes get clogged with rust or corrosion, no amount of vent holes in the bottom of the tank are gonna matter at all.

2 tiny holes eh? I powdercoated my gas cap and may have filled those holes. Could someone tell me where they are exactly or something?? Thanks
