Fuel pump priming vs normal operation
There are four wires going into my fuel stop relay. I'm in the process of looking at the service manual while doing all of this. But anyways, I plug the relay in and no priming. Then I jump two of the wires and it primes. But unlike normal conditions (where the pump primes for 3 seconds then shuts off), the pump primes as long as I have the wires shorted. The bike does start like this.
My big questions: Is the priming function the same as the normal operating function? Aka does the pump feed more/less fuel during priming? And why won't it prime with my relay plugged in?
