Default Fuel pump issues... 1988 CBR 600f

Hi guys, new to the forum, hoping you can help me. I picked up this bike a couple weeks ago for cheap. It wasn't running at the time, I was told this was because of a bad fuel pump relay, but with gas in the carbs it turned over and sounded pretty good so I bought it.
first thing I did was to hook up the fuel line to the gas tank and let it gravity feed. After cleaning the carbs I got it to fire and run. Goes through all 6 gears and feels good, but severely lacking power because the carbs aren' getting enough gas. Anyways I hooked up the new relay yesterday, and thinking my troubles were through I turned the key, but the fuel pump wouldn' prime. It's a brand new pump, and brand new relay. All my fuses are good, and that' where I left off last night as I lost day-light.
Im totally stumped, maybe someone' had this issue before? Any help you can give me would be much appreciated, I'm getting very frustrated by this, but I'm gonna take another crack at it today after work with my mechanic buddy.

Looks like it could be electrical as it fired up before you changed anything, have a look at connectors first

this is what I'm thinking as well. The plug from the fuel pump has a loose connection, but even pushing it in the pump wouldn' come on. There's a plug and a couple wires that aren' connected to anything, but I can' find anything to connect them to and they aren't near the fuel pump either. This is the first time I've had a project like this so sorry if I'm giving irrelevant information

the unconnected plug is green, it has a yellow wire with black stripe, green with white stripe, and green coming out of it, but the two greens are cut off. In addition there is a loose green and green with white stripe that look to be the cut wires from the plug. And a green wire with a little pin on the end is also loose.

Did you bypass the clutch switch to get it running?
