Default fuel cut off relay question

I have a 93 CBR 900RR and found out my fuel cut off relay is bad. Does anyone know if this relay has any important function that I should spend the money to replace it or can I just wire my bike to bypass this relay?

Im not 100 percent sure, but I don't think you can just bypass it.

You certainly couldn't use the power supply that triggers the relay, as that is simple a signal voltage and not enough to supply the fuel pump. Also, I think the cut relay actually operates the fuel pump to kick on and off, even while the bike is running. I don't think the fuel pump contiuously runs the entire time. It turns off and on as pressure is needed. If you ran a wire directly to the pump, I think you would burn it up.

You can bypass the cut off relay, as that's part of diagnosing the fuel pump. But pretty sure it's not a good idea for the reason stated: pump isn't supposed to run constantly. Only when needed

if its like my 07 cbr, then that relay is the exact same as all the others, it should be simple to find a new one and replace
