Thumbs up Is the Fuel pump relay the same as the Headlight relay?

Hello again,
This is my 2nd post - still trying to help my son fix his 96 CBR 600 F3.

I think he has a bad fuel pump (cut-off) Relay.

While stumbling around here I found a manual download.
So now we know where to look for the relay and wire colors etc.

But I've read here that the fuel and headlight relays are the same??

Can anyone confirm this please????

Also is there any aftermarket relay that works for the fuel cut off??

Thank you very much for your help

Regards,
jag007

Doesn't look like it. By looking at the wiring diagram, the only connection between the fuel pump relay and headlight is the starter switch.

Hello,

I need to re-word this,,

What I'm asking is are the two relays interchangeable?
Not if they are connected in the circuit.

I was searching here and read somewhere that you could swap in a headlight relay for the fuel cut-off relay.

If this is true, it would be a cheaper fix.

Can anyone confirm this please?
