First off the bike is a '99 900RR and the frame on it seems to be quite illegal(popped off vin and huge weld patch). Anway the guy i bought it from gave me the original frame and some parts so this is a muti part question.
1. I was going to have a shop change the frames but it's expensive($700-$1600) I have average mechanical skills and since i'm not taking the engine apart can I change the frame myself?
2. What parts should I look to replace or check for wear while I am doin this?
3. The original owner gave me a jet kit and set of rotors for the front, what exactly does a jet kit do and how do I know if the rotors are any good?
4. Also since it will be apart i plan on painting it, i'm thinking pearlescant white with the stock frame color or black and having the frame powdercoated flat black. Just looking for input.
