Flushing Cooling System...?s
you don't need water wetter if you use Distilled water, thats all the wetter does is soften it and neutralising the lime which causes the white furring, Read the HONDA BIBLE and you won't go wrong
yea water wicks away heat the best but water itself doesn't have the nice lubricating properties that WW provides...so i'd use some water wetter with it as some cheap insurance...or else your seals and sea lions in your system and other stuff that need some lubricating may be hurting later.
???????????????????????????????? Thats the whole point of water to cool there is nothing to lubricate in the cooling system all the running parts are lubicated behind oil seals, the only other moving part is the impellor on the water pump and that don't need lub.
I thought I heard it all but I have now!! wow
I thought I heard it all but I have now!! wow
dude...i think you better start reading up on materials...and check it...the impeller doesn't need lube because regular coolant has lubricating properties...and there is a seal there too...so before you start with your comments about "hearing it all now"...search around.
Trust me cooling systems DONT NEED LUB' its just another gimmic.
I've been in the trade for 26+ yrs and never heard such rubbish
The purpose of the seal in the water pump & gland is pre sealed to keep water out of the engine, & oil out of the cooling system
It dosent need lub'
your just wasting money on worthless products
WaterWetter® is a unique wetting agent for cooling systems which reduces coolant temperatures by as much as 30ºF. This liquid product can be used to provide rust and corrosion protection in plain water for racing engines, which provides much better heat transfer properties than glycol-based antifreeze. Or it can be added to new or used antifreeze to improve the heat transfer of ethylene and propylene glycol systems. Designed for modern aluminum, cast iron, copper, brass and bronze systems. Compatible with all antifreezes, including the latest long-life variations.
nothing to do with lubing any parts
I always do my research.
it does exactly the same thing as antifreeze,

here's a good test someone has done with water wetter. you're not wasting that much money. and it's not worthless. i saw another test with water vs. water/water wetter and the WW combo performed a little better than just plain water alone.

there are many people who use it w/o any problems. if this product was as useless as you think it is, nobody would be using it.
edit: by perform better i mean, the temps were lower. sorry...

nice research, looks like you just went to the site and cut and pasted their claims.
i've used it for quite some time now...and i've seen with my own eyes what it has done, the differences between using it alone and using water alone, using coolant, etc. my research somes from personal experience using the stuff and others who have used the stuff.
have you used it at all? i don't think so, because you fear it's a waste of money...
at $7 for a small bottle, and needing only 3-4 capfuls for the bike's cooling system, i'd hardly call that expensive!
