Default Flush mount wiring

i just put new flush mounts on and they are acting as running lights. When i turn the signal on, you can see it flicker... but barely! it doesn't even look like a signal. I'm afraid if i put a resistor inthen it will heatup too much because it is a running light... i don't get it andi'm notthat great with electrical. Any help would be appreciated... i want signals!

Default RE: Flush mount wiring

first) do you want running lights? If not, make sure that you didn't connect all three wires---one is a running light lead

second) as long as you don't hook the resistor to the running light and ground, it's not gonna get hot---no current through it, ya know?

Basically the running light and turn signals are 2 seperate leads.
