Default f4i Wont stay running...

Same problem as the 929 in the below thread, except my battery is fine.

The bike turns on and fires up, but immediately shuts off.

Here's symptoms:

All the dummy lights come on, including the turn signals. (no flashing)
No headlights at all.
Turn signals come on.
When i hold the break and illuminate the dash and rear break, the bike wont fire up, only turns over.

I am brand new to teh bike so im a little overwhelmed...It's my first bike, i dont really know where to start except the forums...

Thanks in advance for any help.

Rob

do you hear the fuel pump priming ? if you dont then i would deffinetly check the tip over sensor. also when you try starting the bike does it try to crank or just nothing happens except your electricals go dim ?

Rob if you dont get it running tommorrow, when i get off work i can always come over to your house and try and help you.

you know what, It's not!... hmmm Is it called a "bank angle sensor"? I was reading up in the manual and it says that may be faulty...hmmm

how hard is it to replace this thing? Tomorrow is not good for me, i have work all day also If its not to hard than i may be able to do it myself. Otherwise if theres another day you could help out i would appreciate it! Just let me know.

any other suggestions? Seems like we may have it.

thanks

Its in the front fairing by with the headlight like you thought and you can always unplug it and jump the terminals to bypass it. Just do a search on bypassing the bank angle sensor. Stunters usually do it so that the bike won't shut off when their in a particularly bad position. I probably wouldn't do it as a long term fix but to see if it gets you back on the road go for it.
