Default f4i Front Brake Fluid Resevoir

Are you supposed to check the fluid in the front brake reservoir while the bike is on its side stand with the bar turned all the way to the left?

Bike is a cbr600f4i.

The best way to check the fluid in the front brake reservoir is to remove the plastic screen on the front of the fairing (8 plastic bolts) and turn the handlebars to the left as you say. If you can keep the bike upright you will keep the reservoir level and the top retaining screws will be easier to access for removal. I have just done a top up on my front brake reservoir after replacing the front brake pads. Always remove some fluid with a syringe before replacing pads as when you push the pistons in the fluid level will rise.
