i have also wondered if it would help to make some kind of home made fins to put over the oil filter to help loose heat.maybe a coil of copper wire or something painted black.you know the oil is almost the main way the motor keeps cool.

 

WOW!!! 239 the hottest mines ever gotten 231!! Bike week sittin in traffic and I though she was going to melt!!! lol !!! I guess these temps are ok as long as the fans are workin??

 

Yeah, My legs start to burn at around 215, and it barely ever drops below that in traffic, so, thats why I was asking!

 

i dont have a digital gauge so i dont know the actual temp, i need to get a gun and shoot it to see, but i live in southern texas and its fuggin hot here right now. sitting at lights my gauge goes all the way up almost to the red hash on the H, so it gets freakin hot but it isnt overheating. i would also like to figure out how to cool it off a little quicker, cause my legs are starting to melt. do any of your gas tanks get hot right where the seat meets, the tank pad location.
