Default exhaust clamp rubber

hey i bought a carbon slipon for a 1000rr but the clamp that holds the can didnt come with the usual rubber that protects it from scratchin. what can i use that wont melt? smooth move on my part for buyin somethin from italy, someone help me.

You might want to think about buying the rubber that's made for it. Does the company you bought it from have a support department?

Other than that, maybe the heat shielding sleeve material used to protect wires? Cut it so you don't see it but have enough to keep from damaging the can? You can buy it at any auto parts store, but it’s not cheap either.
