Your looking for silicon sheet stock. You might think this sounds silly, but you can make your own by getting some hi-temp silicon and smoothing a big gob of it onto wax paper, and cutting out the strip you need after it cures. Easiest way would be to put the whole strip between the pipe and the clamp and mark out what you need to cut. Just make sure you buy good stuff and let it cure compleatly. You'd be surprised at how strong it is, even in thin strips.
