Default Engine switching off.

Just had a 12000 mile service on a 2009 Blade.
Went for a ride today and the engine turned off after about 3miles. Eventually got the bike started and went home. I went out again later and the same thing happened. It is as if someone is switching the "kill" switch on.I then had loads of trouble starting the bike. Do you think the Honda dealers have upset something, I did get them to remove the rear foot pegs.
Obviously, I will ring them tomorrow. Any one else had this problem. Thanks The Mass

If that happened right after the service was done, you're probably better just return it to the shop, explain what happened and just politely ask to fix it. If they try to deny the fix, just demand it and if that doesn't work, throw some law at them.

And the footpegs are not the cause...

could it be a loose or bad ground?
-definitely take it to where you got it serviced especially if it was fine before the service clearly their fault

This will sound weird but check your kickstand switch. Unscrew it from the kickstand and set it to where you start the bike then move it around a little to see if it kills the bike. It takes like a quarter turn to work right any less it might be bad. I had problems with my bike starting and when i rode it the bike would kill itself for a second then come back on when i hit a bump and it was the switch. just got worn out over time.

Default Thanks

The most plausible answer seems to be the side stand switch.
