i would think this is normal being that most cars sound the same way. why my bike is parked and at idle i ofcourse i hear the tone of the exhaust but about i also hear what sounds like under a cars hood with all the belts spinning. im not sure if you should only be hearing exhaust and barley to none engine noise but i noticed it from walking back to my garage?

01 F4i 11k miles and i do have the fairings off if that would make that big of difference.

 

Is the bike also in neutral with the clutch let out when you hear the noise?

 

yeh the bike is on the kickstand at idle. i was just listening to the exhaust walking back from my garage and noticed that noise as well.

 

Totally normal. It's something about the clutch basket shaking... I forget specifically. Anyway, if it goes away when you depress the clutch and its a relatively minor noise you've got nothing to worry about. Perfectly normal.
