Engine shut down at 12 000 RPM
Hi,
Yesterday on the track I got a little problem. Every time I reached 12 000 RPM the engine shut down without any reason!!
I had to turn off/on the key to restart the engine and then the bike was ok, unless I reach 12 000 RPM.
But, during my last few laps, I tried to pass this magic number slowly, 4th gear and I reached 13 000 rpm without problem. I didn't try farther, the straight wasn't long enough.
It's probably something really stupid...but what?
The battery is fine, I just changed it last month after the old one died.
Thanks you.
Edit: I forgot to mention, my bike is a Honda CBR 600 RR 2003

i had a similar problem with mine but it wasnt at a particular rpm, but the problem was that the on/off switch (not key) was goin bad and would lose connection i guess you could say and the bike would shut off, i replaced it and never had a problem again
