Endless Chain Question
A guy from my local area forum is selling an RK 525 XSO X-Ring 108 links ENDLESS chain.
He says its okay to cut one of the links off and replace it with a master link.
Is it safe/recommended to do this? Or should I avoid this?

It's an :endless" chain that comes already linked together without a master link. So I guess I have to cut it and put a master link on because I really don't feel like removing the swingarm to do this!
If you do get it and plan on installing it yourself, if suggest getting the proper tool to do it, I just replaced my chain and sprockets a few days ago and getting the masterlink in and riveted was a PITA to say the least
Lot of chains ordered as OEM spec'd come that way.
Collin,
The F4i does use a 108 link chain.
Have you ever installed a chain? Its not rocket-science but should be done properly. As recommended above, use the proper chain tool to properly install the master-link. The master-link pins need to be flared/staked to proper spec (RK = 5.55-5.85 mm / 0.219-0.230 in).
