Default Battery Issue??? Not sure...

I have an 01 CBR 929rr and I was trying to start it this morning and take it to work but unfortunatley the motorcycle gods did not want this to happen. When I tried starting it the first time, all the electrical worked fine but it just didn't have enough juice to get the starter to start. So I jumped it to my dads miata and when I turned the key to on in the bike ignition it was completely dead -_- no lights no display no nothing. I didn't have much time to trouble shoot cuz I had to get to work but I checked the fuses an they all looked good. Other than that I'm clueless to why it would almost start then 30 sec later when its being jumped its completely dead?

1. battery is dead. Charge the battery, test it and the charging sysyem, and replace if necessary.
2. you blew the 30a main fuse. It's under a little cover next to the fuse box.

Don't jump it off a running car.

The battery's brand new, but it's been weak end because I've been testing the lights without turning it on and I haven't been able to ride it an recharge it because I just got temp. tags for it. and if I'm thinking about the box ur refereing to it looked like it had a 20 fuse not a 30 so maybe thats an issue?

The 20a is for the FI. The main is a 30a. Did you check the one in the starter relay? Follow the positive cable, you will find them.

No, I don't think so, I'll try that when I get home. And should I jump it to my brothers bike or is a car thats off ok? or is that too much power?

Jumping off a car is ok, as long as it's not running. A running car puts out more amps than the bikes system can handle.

No problem. Stop on your way home and grab a small assortment of fuses. They're good to have around...

Do you know off hand what sizes a 929rr takes? I know I have a box of 10a and I'm guessing I should grab some 20a and 30a? Is there any other sizes I need?

They use mostly 10a. The main is a 30a, and a few 20a.
