Default drive chain and sprockets

I'm having a little problem with my '89 CBR600's back sprocket and chain. i recently bought new sprockets and chain, a week before a ride i went on and they worked fine. a week after i tightend/greased my chain and now the back sprocket is catching/rubbing the chain on the bottom right side of the chain. i've tried compensating using the adjusters to bring the sprocket/wheelbase straighter with the chain but i can't get the 'medium' point in-between. it just starts to catch on the otherside. when i spin my wheel with the axle nut loosened it doesn't seem to catch the chain. but when i tighten it somehow it seems to pull everything out of line.
I called a bike mechanic in the area, he didn't know. he said maybe the back sprocket is a little defaulted. i've checked and its perfect. its not my bearings, i replaced them at the same time. all spacers are in place too.
Anyone have any idea's??

i miss riding my bike :tear:
