diff between F4 and F4i???
hey guys i am wondering what the main differance is between the F4 motor and the F4i motor other then the fact that its fuel injection if there is another difference...
ORIGINAL: dragonium25
The F4i is fuel Injected, the F4 is carburated.
The F4i is fuel Injected, the F4 is carburated.
you guys were a HUGE help. you guys obviosly didn't read the question did you?? hahaha.. ((((OTHER THEN THE FACT THAT ITS FUEL IN-JECTED)))!!!! YES I KNOW THE F4i IS FUEL INJECTED! AND THE F4 IS CARBED! wow..
Hey - I'm a F4 rider myself... the Clymer is common between the F4 and F4i.
Most parts seem the same. Body work has been swapped between the two, the frame, rims and lower part of the engine look the same...
The tank might have few differences, the wiring is significantly different... [g 537-538 list differences in the wiring of the regulator...
Page 539-540 the iginition system is different (f4 has a 10a fuse, the f4i has a 20a fuse) The f4i also has a tip over kill switch...
Starting system looks common.
Not going to go through the wiring diagram... but a few differences on the dash. 20km/h indicator for f4... must be for the way the fuel is handled? There is a FI test light for the f4i.
I'll stop there... but as far as I can tell. Tweaked body work, maybe modified suspension but I didn't see it, fuel injection, and the required electrical changes to make that work.
