04 05 are the same...06 is much updated technically. Do a net search and you can compare. You can even go to Hondas site and it will tell you.

 

does anyone down shifting to break or do you just use your breaks?

has anyone went from an 04/05 to a 06. Or has anyone raced the two. When i rode my frineds 04 (4mths ago, before i got mine) it seemed fast but not nearly as fast as my 06. just wondering if the 06 is alot faster. Ive heard alot of trash from the gixer boys but i cant imagine the gixer 1000 being that much faster than my 06. And with that statement who has raced a gixer and what was the results.

 

The 04 stock has 40 teeth on the rear sprocket, the 06 has 2 extra teeth and higher compresion ratio along with a higher red line ceiling. This is the major difference you`ll feel.

 

yea Anubus, but didnt the front go from a 15 tooth to a 16 tooth in the front. So that 2 up in the rear really didnt chage that much. still would like to know about the race between the gixer and 04/05 against the 1000RR 06.
