I'm looking to put a flange-on mount can on my '93 900 and have noticed there are a larger amount of options for the 96-99 year model than the earlier. Does anyone know the difference in the muffler configuration between these two date range bikes for the 900? Is the mounting flange different? Is the flange the same but have a different orientation? Is the mount to the rear peg mount different? Why does a 96-99 can not cross reference to the 93-95? I talked with a tech at Yoshumira and all he could tell me was that the two didn't cross reference, but didn't know what the difference was.
