I was just wondering Now I have a 2006 cbr 600rr.
I didn't ride my bike in 2 days or so cause of rain
So when I finally started it up it didn't start up on the first punch.
Now I am just guessing but maybe this is a fuel problem.
Or is there just something cold.
I store my bike inside.
It happens sometimes if I don't ride my bike that offten.
But just was wondering if there is any kinda of trick to do with the throttle?
Thanks.

Wow, you should get that checked for a brand new bike like yours. Mine's a 2005 600RR and I never have starting problems and sometimes I don't ride for 4-5 days. These bikes are fuel injected so the cold shouldn't really matter. Your bike's still under warranty right? So bring that in have them check that.

Try changing your starting technique before you start to worry, for instance, there is no need to hit the throttle to crank it over (not saying you do, just an example) For instance, on my bike I don't turn the fuel on till it fires up, starts 1st time. If I blip the throttle at all from a cold start, it will start but takes a few stabs on the electric leg to get it going. (Ok, I know someone will say that they have blip the throttle to start theirs) but all bikes have their own peculiarities with starting.

A bike as new as yours should start right off every time, even after a couple of weeks of non-use. The FI system is calibrated to start with no throttle and go into fast idle. Opening the throttle when starting causes it to want to flood. Hopefully it is something as simple as a fuel filter (in the tank, next to the fuel pump) problem. Never know with a used bike what got into the tank.
