I got a F4i and it will run only while the clutch is in, once i let the clutch out the bike goes dead. I have bypassed the clutch switch and the kickstand switch and no luck. anyone have any ideas??

yeah its crazy, i got a friend looking at it who was a bike mechanic for 7 years and he is at a loss for words, and he called someone who worked at a honda dealership for a few years and he has no idea. He took the clutch case off and is going to try another one since it has a sensor in there and see if that works if not going to take the clutch apart and see if maybe something is wrong there.

as bad as this sounds the only thing i can think of is the "input" side of your tranny is in a bind (locked up) you can check this by putting it in gear w/engine off and clutch in, and try to push the bike if it wont move then its a tranny problem, if it does....... im lost!
hope that helps

Dont know how or why but it works now.??????????? I thinking that something might have gotten wet some how and needed to dry out. But i got off work today and put the clutch case back on, it was off because i had a friend(bike mechanic) looking at it, and it started right up. I just stood there dumbfounded. A week of pulling my hair for nothing. I am pumped.

thanks for all the replies.
