Clutch issue?

My bike has been acting weird lately. It is a 2005 cbr 600rr, and when I am holding the clutch the bike seems to be braking. It doesn't roll like it used to. For example when I'm make a sharp slow turn I like to hold the clutch and just roll the turn and then slowly let go of the clutch and hit the gas. Now I can't really do that because while i hold the clutch the bike seems to be coming to a stop a lot faster. ![Frown](https://cbrforum.com/forum/images/smilies/frown.gif)

I'm not sure. Don't really understand your question
but when I get on the bike it rides just fine and after about 15-30 minutes of riding it starts doing that...For example, on a light if I am on neutral the bike is pretty much locked.... I can't even roll it on neutral. Could it be because of the heat? I'm in Texas and it gets very hot here.

Sounds more like sticking brake calipers than anything to do with the clutch, if, as you say you can't roll the bike forward in neutral. Next time you have this problem, feel how hot the disc brakes are and if you have a centre stand, put it on that and try to turn both wheels. I feel sure that this is a brake problem?

Hmm, once he points it out, I think highway's got a point. When I re-read your post, that sounds more likely than a clutch issue. When you check for heat on the rotors, use caution, they don't have to glow to give a nasty burn. Are you hearing any 'grating' sounds? Try putting it in neutral with engine off, and roll it a few feet and listening for the brakes dragging, as mentioned.

I agree with HP too.
The one thing both of the conditions have in common is the brakes. When you come to stop, you are using the brakes. When you are coming up to a turn, you are probably using the brakes. It may just be a slow returning caliper, and may not be sticking all the time. But if you have a stand, you should be able to test the rear caliper by applying it then trying to rotate your rear wheel right afterwards.
Another thing you may want to check is your chain adjustment. Make sure its not too tight or it could bind.
