Default clutch handle... hard pull?

hey guys, I have an 03 RR and for some reason the last time I went out to ride the clutch got real hard to pull. Not crazy hard, but I can definately tell its not quite normal. Should I release some tension at the handle then make up for it at the adjustment near the clutch cover? Would that make a difference?

thanks,

Chris

Default RE: clutch handle... hard pull?

Could be that the cable is starting to bind, crud mixed with rain gets in, you can get those pressure lube thingo's from a decent bike shop. They have an attachment so you don't have to take the bottom end of the cable off. Iffin they don't, it's no biggie to take it off and run some good quality oil down the the cable, till it runs out the other end. I use a funnel, & seal the cable in the spout with Bluetac & "C" tape, pour enough oil in and hang it up on my clothes line. (then listen to my wife complain about how the oil ends up on the washed clothes. But we all have to make sacrifices)
Slacking the cable off is only a short term fix.
