Default clutch lever hard to pull

i dont know if its me and i am weak or if its my clutch lever.

after riding for sevral hours today my hand is killing me as was it yesterday from pulling the clutch in. i hear people saying how they pull it with 2 fingers. i tryed this and its almost impossible for me. is there anything that makes it easyer to pull in?

also is it normal for the clutch leaver to be almost all the way out before it starts to engage. there is a lot of free play.

edit: just did a search and the freeplay. i will try to adjust tomarow, its raining right now. will getting rid of some of the free play make it even harder to pull? thanks

After riding for hours your hand is always gonna get a little tired. When you adjust it, adjust it so its more comfortable whether that means making it so u can pull with two fingers or adjusting it so it engages closer to the bars.

And you could always buy one of those grip strengtheners to make ur hand stronger, then ur hand might not hurt as much.

Try beating off with your left hand to build endurance.

i just got back from riding well i took a nap afterwards but anyways i concentrated on not putting as much weight on my hands. the pain in the left hand is not so bad now. i gues pressure in addition to the pulling of the clutch realy takes it tool on you. my fat @ss needs to get in shape.

I adjusted mine to be fully engaged when the lever is against the bar, thats the way im comfortable. I tried the 2 finger method back when i rode dirt bikes and i just didnt like it. It all depends on what you like.

I'm not a fan of the 2 finger method myself. I need a nice firm grip.

Wait, which subject are we talking about here?

this can all be fixed if you stop using the southwestern grip and switch to either the continental, or the dirtysouth variations. (fyi)
