clucth adjustment question
i just tighten my clutch cable by the motor side. now the clutch is sliping... i was halfway on my adj screw on my handle bar.i trun that back in and tighten the motor side.not tight enough?
The goal to adjusting the clutch cable is to ensure that when you've released the clutch lever, that there a small amount of slack or play in the cable. As an example, on the CBR 600 F3, you should have about 10-20mm of travel as measured at then end of the clutch lever.
If you adjust your cable so that when you release the lever, there is still tension on the cable, then your clutch will slip because the cable is preventing the clutch from fully engaging.

Basically yea, you may have over adjusted.
Think of it like this, if you have any tension on the cable when it is at rest its just like if you were riding and pulling in on the clutch a little bit, all the time.
