different idle adjustment question

Default different idle adjustment question

I have a 06 600rr and i adjusted the idle **** while the bike was cold and its out of whack...i tried adjusting it back but no matter where i turn it to, it doesnt idle does anyone know how to fix this??[:@]i just wanna ride....and now i cant idle da*m it.

Are you holding the cable while you adjust the screw?

wow i didnt think i had to. is that the problem? caust the hose definatly turns with the ****..my idle doesnt change. but it had to work to screw it up soo i dont know?

If the whole hose is turning, then you're not really adjusting anything.

take it around block than adjusted...
IDLE SPEED: 1,300 +/- 100 rpm...

my idle is gay too its likes to change on its own. and when i try to change it it wont. sometimes it happens.

maybe one day your idle will change to being straight? muahhahah....

i think the OP turned the **** so much that it's no longer threaded on but just hanging there.

haha thanks for the advice guys im gunna try adjusting it and holding the hose in place hopefully i get some revs back. as for taking it around the block , its to stripped for that rite now ill just hold the throttle at 1300rpm or so until it warms up.

Idle should never be adjusted with the engine cold!!!!

As previously suggested, you likely turned it down all the way that the idle adjustment screw came undone from the throttle bodies. You'll have to get it back into the throttle bodies.

BTW, Dragonium's advice doesn't make sense. The idle adjustment **** and the "hose" are supposed to turn together. That's how its designed!

yea i just figured that out the hard way lol. they turn together. but n-e i warmed it up turned it off adjusted it all the way + then it got kinda hard to turn forced it a little bit and now im idleing around 1300rpm so i guess i fixed it i aint touching that thing ever agin lol way too easy to screw up.
