Click sound!
Hi, I have just bought a lovely yellow/blue 99 CBR 600 F. (I am in Glasgow, Scotland by the way) Please be patient with me though as I have absolutely no mechanical knowledge. The back LH indicator does not work, I tried switching bulbs with one I know is ok, and still it does not work. (the front LH indicator flashes at double the speed). Does this indicate loose wiring? ALSO - when I depress the bars to check the front suspension, just as it is fully depressed and is coming back up I can hear a click sound! Is this bad news or can I sleep at night? Thanks in advance.
if a bulb burns out the remaning signal runs at 2x the speed. check your fuses, and then check the connector to make sure juice is running to the rear LH indicator.
as far as the clicking...find out where it's coming from. you sure it isn't the kick stand making that noise? mine makes a click sound too when i'm moving the bars while on the sand...it's just the bike moving and causing the kickstand to move, etc. but find out where it's coming from.

Tahoe is right, it might be difficult to do alone, but you need to try to find out what area the clicking is coming from. It could be something simple, or it could be the bearings in the head tube. Tough to guess without more info.
I managed to fix the indicator problem tonight, the 2 wires were completely disconnected, I patched that up and hey presto...my first sparky job! The click sound I will look into further and try to get more info. If IT IS the bearings in the head tube what's the script with that then? Is it costly?
costly if you have someone do it...but to do it you need to suspend the entire front of the bike...and triple stands won't work either...gots to take off the front end, remove the old bearing and then put in the new one...but you gots to press it in there or freeze it so it gets a bit smaller and then get that sucker in there
if you have triple stand, get the bike on there, grab the tire and see if there's any movement. if no, then you ok.
