Default Click sound!

Hi, I have just bought a lovely 99 CBR 600 F. Please be patient with me though as I have absolutely no mechanical knowledge. The back LH indicator does not work, I tried switching bulbs with one I know is ok, and still it does not work. (the front LH indicator flashes at double the speed). Does this indicate loose wiring? ALSO - when I depress the bars to check the front suspension, just as it is fully depressed and is coming back up I can hear a click sound! Is this bad news or can I sleep at night? Thanks in advance.

I doubt that any other forum members read other bike questions, because most likely they don't have the same bike as us. What does LH mean

Hi barry, I have a cbr600fy (00 model), which is very similar to the fx (99)version. The indicator on the front left side flashing at twice the speed while the back is not indicates that there is a problem with the wiring to the rear left bulb, providing that the bulb in the rear left is the correct one i.e. correct voltage and watts rating which is (for euro spec 21w + for us spec rear:32cp (23 w) (according to my haynes manual)), and is fitted correctly. The front front flashing at double the speed usually indicates that the front is fine and it's the rear bulb/wiring that is having the problems. So there shouldn't be a need to worry about the front. As for the back left indicator, check all the wires are connected. Also have you or the previous owner changed or tried modifiying the indicator? It may be that it wasn't correctly connected up if it was. Also I recommend buying a haynes manual, I brought one myself and it's been invaluable to me so far hope that helps.
